Slate House

In Indiranagar, Bangalore, Funktion Design faced the challenge of creating an office for Vistaara Corp that seamlessly integrated with the CMH Metro station, adhering to strict city regulations. The Slate House project strategically positioned the entrance, used post-tensioned slabs to meet height restrictions, and employed UHPC panel fins for an aesthetically pleasing façade. Balcony regulations were creatively addressed, enhancing visual connections. The façade not only added visual appeal but also controlled light and glare, reducing solar heat gain. The glazing system and rhythmic UHPC pattern contributed to thermal comfort, demonstrating how innovation can balance aesthetics, functionality, and environmental consciousness in Bangalore's urban landscape.
