Funktion Design, is a Bengaluru based architecture firm founded by Madhusudhan Sridhar in 2010, is a design firm that has designed a wide range of projects of varying scale and typologies. The team at Funktion design celebrates the dynamic nature of practice in India and brings in a sense of design logic, process, and purpose into all their design outcomes. The end user and their comfort are at the core of all their designs . The client and end users being collaborators in the design process.
Our Philosophy
Architecture to us is a journey of processes. The ever shifting thought process and ideas that evolve, develop and sometimes get reconfigured along this journey. The projects from which these ideas germinate and reappear are part of this larger ideation journey. The journey is also in terms of the transformation of space with ever changing time, users, light, season, weather and the sensitivity to that. Sensitivity to the site and a deep understanding of the materials makes sure our buildings not only work well but are also evocative in their expression.
